Why We Like NPF

Making the Most of Your NPF Experience
By Lon Robinson

When the 2017 National Postal Forum (NPF) kicks off in Baltimore next week (May 21-24), Tension will be well represented – we’ll exhibit in Booth #408 and many of our Associates will attend. Why? We consider NPF a “must attend” event for our industry. We hope to see you there!

NPF helps us all succeed, by bringing the many moving parts of the massive 7.5 million job1 mailing industry together, building relationships between mailers and the USPS® and educating mailers on the most efficient use of USPS® products and services.

Over the years, I’ve found the top three benefits of NPF are networking, the tradeshow, and education:

Networking

Looking for ideas on how to create a more efficient mail room? Stumped on design for your next direct mail envelope? NPF networking opportunities are what you need. Attended by more than 4,000 mailing and shipping industry experts, NPF has the “been there, done that” direction that can help you as a mailer. Networking opportunities range from casual conversations to formal receptions hosted by NPF, Postal Customer Councils (PCC) and exhibitors. The connections you make here can help year-round.

Tradeshow

Is there a mail-related issue that keeps you up at night? With the wide vendor representation at NPF, chances are someone in the exhibit hall Tension booth at NPF 2016understands the challenge and has a solution. Headlined by the USPS®, the tradeshow offers attendees the option of setting up a one-on-one consultation with a USPS® representative. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet with many other representatives from across the mailing industry, and be sure to check out Tension in Booth #408!

Education

NPF goes in-depth on current trends in the postal system, equipping you with the knowledge to drive positive change for your organization. You’ll have the chance to get important mail-related certifications, such as the Executive Mail Center Manager (EMCM), the Certified Direct Mail Professional (CDMP) and Mailpiece Design Professional (MDP). There’s no other educational opportunity out there, all in one setting, which can help you become the mail expert for your company (and for your career).

Make the most of your career in the mailing industry by attending NPF in all of its forms – networking events, tradeshow and educational opportunities. I look forward to seeing you at the show!
